Well, Grimmer did have emotions so his death wasn't all that bad.

That was a real tearjerker... He was one of my favourite characters.

My tears flows when the chapter ends! How one person such as Urasa can toy with you and make you care about every character no matter How small he is or main. Truly a God mangaka!

Saddest death in this manga, i would say... What a life Grimmer had... And when Franz/Poppe knelt... In turn, this was one of the best moments of the manga.

Grimmer is a character with a special trajectory, is really unique and I would say that is one of the best achievements of Urasawa in this manga, creating such a memorable character... His character, his way of being, his way of behaving.

His final words sink deeply profound in one, knowing what it really means, and how his journey finally ended. His goal finally achieved... He was able to cry for his son, but not live beyond it after finally achieve that... A tragic character, to demonstrate better than ever what Franz/Poppe did... That there he kneels to witness the atrocity he did.

I insist, this last volume is being the best of the best.

Not easy to make me cry when reading a manga compared to anime where music & animation can elevate the scene, but man, this hurt... cried like a bitch.

Grimmer mourning his son :( this has to be one of the saddest moments in the manga, up there with Richard Braun's death, and Grimmer telling Milosh to find beauty in life.
