We have some tone issues coming in, with a somewhat whimsical protagonist from reality getting immediately beaten, threatened into a su*cide mission... and then tortured in the attempt to survive, at least twice.This tone feels like they're trying to really brow beat the user into the tone of the story, but its not a nuanced issue... The method of making the setting tone dark is kind of a signaler to me of an awkward writer.I think its good as a way to inform people coming in, but I'm not sure we'll get a super keyed in writer given the presentation of the intro.I'm still willing to dive in, but I'm going to have to take breaks, because its pretty heavy handed.
