Although I'm having aneurysm reading this because of the godawful MTL, I dare say it's still a good novel. The understandable parts are nicely written at least.

I like that the novel highlights the common people's hardships because of corruption, during disasters and wars. It's super heartbreaking.

I like that the kids acts like kids, not super kids like other novels, not too villainy, nor too childish for kids who grew up in poverty.

MC is not omnipotent either, (although the recipes are a pain to read cause of the MTL) you can really feel their struggle. How they earned slowly, but with steady income. I'm at Chapter 82. I ain't paying sorry, if the translation is like that no.

Update: Chapter 142, oh my god, Shen Jin my boy 😭. My poor, poor boy. My heart aches for him, and I feel so proud of his progress. Let me adopt you.

Update: Chapter 155. THIS IS STRESSING ME OUT!!!!

Update: Chapter 163. Oh. My. God.

OHMYGOD. Who's gonna pay for Shen Jin's therapy, nooo 😭.

I can't with this novel.

Update: Chapter 192, I thought the tragedy tag is already over. WHY MAKE ME CRY LIKE THIS!!!

Last update: Chapter 203: STOP. MENTIONING. HER. ORIGINAL. AGE! While she's romancing a teenager, it's gross.

Why do these stories have so many chapters repeating the same senarios over and over don’t they understand that readers will get bored and abandon the story..

Very good story.  Sometimes, in my opinion,  the chapters were a bit more than expected.

The slow and passionate way in which the tale is being narrated just keeps you on toes, folks! So give this amazing book a chance and give it a place in your Library. Best wishes to the author and a happy reading, dear readers:)!!
