2-3.5 I can't decide bc I feel like it's really exciting as a story, but the morals in here are slightly weird and then I see some comments with even sketchier morals/opinions and it turns me off of this book. Unexpectedly, this book offers a lot of debate (for non Chinese readers probably). The book itself is a fun daoist supernatural book filled with various ghost stories. I think the MC is strong and confident which is nice. I think the author chose an interesting character arch for the ml. He's probably gonna have evil spirits after this life too making guns. LolThe pros are that it's like a comic book: fast paced, gripping, new events, government, etc. I also really love her family. And likee comic books in the past, the stereotypes and morals are rampant and questionable at times. Cons are it has nationalism (even the underworld god has confucianism thinking??), on that the fact our ML is basically making weapons of mass mu*der and I'm supposed to be ok with this? (Look if I don't like my ml's to be serial killers, then why would I like this? I wouldn't like him even if he was working for my country ok.), straight up lying... even though it was a good thing to get that person in trouble but "lie" told was uncomfortable to read, idk usually I don't care about age gaps as long as they're "adult" but.. it depends on the dynamic if it's weird to me, oh yea the author has massive double standards (against guys), and the author is so focused on the concept of mol*sting (men/in general) (as a writing point?) through out the novel.
