Very nice story. I would absolutely recommend It, especially if you have read and enjoyed "tr*sh of the Count's Family".The Main Character is smart and capable. I really like how he looks after his Friends and those he cares about. One thing that I don't Always enjoy is that he is extremely biased toward certain Characters (mainly the "playable ones") and the "Dog". It is a bit of a gag. And It is also understandable considering how the MC used the game to cope with his trauma for a long time...And while he is extremely capable and smart, he is not perfect. (Something I appreciate).Overall, all the character are relatively tridimensional, with their own stories and depths. And I really enjoy the relationships the secondary characters have both with the main character but also with each others. In fact, one of my absolute favourite relationship in the novel is the one among two secondary characters.Something I really love is how the author remembers everything and everything he writes has a purpose. Something that was completely innocuous and seemingly of no importante becomes a quite important clue. Every little detail matters. And things that were mentioned hundreds of chapters earlier can become extremely relevant. That said, this Is not going to be a short story. The ogGame that MC played spanned 3 years of high school. So, supposedly, the plot of the whole story should span the 3 years of highschool of MC as well. And as of chapter 670, the MC Is still in his First year. I think the First year ends around chapter 730/750 but I'm not sure. (And yeah... The 1 year of High school has MANY chapters, but it's so dense and full of plot that it never feels like the author Is wasting time and stretching the plot unnecessarily, just for the sake of it. In fact, there Is so much going on that there can be little respite from one arc to the other. It all feels very purposeful and many of the things and plot that happens was foreshadowed in earlier arcs) Now, from the second year the plot is probably going to diverge a lot from the ogGame and maybe It Will move faster in the following years compared to the First year.I can't see the story taking less than 1500 chapters to end unless It completely changes the pacing compared to the First year. And if the following years take as much as the First year did and have Just as much plot, then It Will take around 2000 chapter or even more. (Personally, I would bet on the story being around 2000 chapters) And It Is noticeable. Because there are still MANY mysteries to reveal, hinted plot points... etc..So if you want a relatively short webnovel this one is definetely not the right story. It's long and It takes it's full time. And there is still a lot going on. It is by no mean close to ending. And unfortunately like many people have already commented, this story suffers from poor translation.
- Waffle's translation Is good, but there are only the first 40 chapters.
- Library Key's Translation is decent but as of right now it's only up to chapter 107
- Novel Multiverse is painful for the First 160/170 chapters. Until then it's very poorly translated. (Horrible really). The pronouns are confusing because they are constantly changed, to the point where it's difficult to understand the gender of new characters or which characters Is being talked about. And, because there are always different translators the name of the characters keeps changing as well. It's basically poor mtl. However, from chapter 170 the trabslation improves drastically. (In fact, I really enjoy the translations of the current chapters and I'm really Happy with the new/current translator)
