Big Boss Transmigrates into an Abusive Novel Chapter Completed Discussion

When I first started reading the novel, I thought I had accidentally opened the male lead's backyard is on fire lol. I had to go and check again. Turns out it's by the same author.

The novel has plenty of political intrigues and if you're not into this, this might be quite a laborious read. But woven in between the political and social drama, we see the main characters slowly growing and falling for each other. They share plenty of sweets moments in the story.

I don't have much to say about the story itself but it was an easy to read novel with a dark undercurrent throughout (particularly in the storyline involving Zhou Zhiqiu). I wish some of the side characters' stories got explored a bit more, or we could have seen their conclusion in the extras... alas....

The extras is where I really have problems with. Major spoilers:

There are 2 extras. The first one reveals that all along, Ye Youqing didn't just travel to an "empty vessel", it was a soul exchange. And what happened? She got transported back to the future, leaving her wife. Zhou Ci Ke eventually got transported too but then comes the logistics issue: Zhouqing found a way to travel back to the past again with Zhou Ci Ke but what would happen to the ancient Zhouqing if she returns to the future? What about actress Ci Ke? I wish the author didn't just throw this in the extras. It actually made me angry.

Second extras is about Zhou Zhiqiu side story. Instead of exploring what's in her future, the author used like 2 chapters to go back to the past to see the beginning of her story with Shi Li. It might be sweet if I didn't know after all that, she had to be married off to old bastard and lived thinking her lover has died for years. In the final chapter of this side story, we get to know she's recovered her memories but barely recovering and I think that really brings down the mood of finishing the novel.

Frankly, if I recommend this novel to anyone, I'd say to stop reading after the main story ends and not to check out the extras. The main story is really enjoyable.

Once again, great job by LP. Some confusions on the names at the beginning but it gets smoother as you read.
