No wonder there are 43 extras.This isn't slow, it's just poorly planned and dragged out to the extreme, scenes repeat endlessly, completely unimportant side-plots are used to stretch the wordcount while the main plot hasn't even started yet.Characters are flat and so nondescript, that you don't know who is talking/acting if their name isn't stated.MC is one of the blandest ones I've seen in a novel, there's nothing interesting about him, he seems more like side-character No. X than the protagonist.This could have been a really good story but the execution and obvious wordcount inflation makes it unreadable.I wish I would have read the Chinese reviews sooner, when people comment that the extras are better than the main novel, then there's no point in wasting time on it.
