Let's get one thing out of the way first. This novel will not blow your mind. It is filled with all the cliches that are part of the genre and it makes no effort to hide it or to mitigate it.That being said, I'm still enjoying it. The cultivation system is different enough to be interesting and it makes sense in the setting.And if you enjoy faceslapping and revenge plots, this will fit lile a glove as most of what I read is the MC getting stronger and faceslapping arrogant a**holes.Expect plenty of plot shield, unbelievable luck and one-sided beatings.Yet somehow I find myself longing for this novel more and more. My only fear is that the author has set himself up to a lot of problems in the long run and that it will lose its steam unless it can find something else other than revenge plots to support it.
