Honestly couldn't bother to waste more time, I realized all the way back around chapter 10 that this was tr*sh and every chapter made it more obvious. Still wanted to give it a chance so kept at it but then started hating the novel more and more. It's written in an incredibly simplistic fashion and everything is only black or white. Villains are hilariously villainous just for the sake of it while the MC is at best a moron undeserving of anything he's getting.I doubted other reviews talking about how cheesy and forced the lines were. Yeaah, they were correct. It's amazing how unnatural, cringeworthy and simple the dialogue and inner thoughts are. There's simply no real thought or effort put into it. The pace is very quick and every exchange ends up being uncannily similar as the author has no good plans and takes everything one chapter at a time, which make the characters feel artificial and forced, since they just have a sole purpose instead of being organic, living beings.Battles aren't good either, the beasts don't really fight properly nor does the MC. The cultivation system is a badly written mess. His relationships are a god damn mess. Not only does it start with a silly situation of instant betrayal for idiotic reasons while trying to instantly make us hate the girl who betrayed him and the dude who cuckolded him or something, but it fails because it's basically just half a chapter about a girl we don't know or care about, a MC we haven't immersed ourselves in and a villain that is comically, single mindedly villainious. Then you realize every single character has the same personality, a telltale sign of a subpar author. They all act the same way, say the same things and unreservedly bash the sh*t out of the protagonist while underestimating him. Even the peanut gallery loves cracking down on him. It's as if this author has extremely low self-esteem and uses this media as a power-trip revenge or**sm story to feel better about himself while not giving any proper love or care to the story.Hell, then we have the "friendly" characters, like the mother that is honestly a something of a dipsh*t that pretends to be all pitiful while simply deserving some of the things she got, she also has to act good all the time, having the single personality trait of being the mommy the author always wished for but never had. Oh, and the sudden early love interest, the inexplicable love at first sight/it's fate bullsh*t that anyone with any sense hates. But it's even worse because somehow this girl is a perfect fit in every way. It's offensive how blatantly the author self-inserts and can't wait to think up an unrealistic dream girl for himself, a fated one he doesn't deserve in the first place. The fact alone that the protagonist was burned so badly by his previous relationship but suddenly falls in love at first sight almost makes me a bit furious. I certainly don't believe it possible for a betrayed guy who hasn't even really let go of his former "love" and want revenge to suddenly start panting at another girl without experiencing some god damn time with her, some adventures. But nah, magnetic attraction, fate and all that. Yeah. Logic much. I sure love me a pretty RealDoll to project all my sad desires upon. The author was probably dumped for very good reasons and is now taking revenge in virtual space while imagining his ideal. The comedy is what I was here for. It's just sad how bad it is. The first one or two times, it's funny when the chicken acts like a pe*verted old geezer but the author never changes it up at all. While acting like an old pe*vert, it acts like a little brat at other times, clashing with its own persona. Dirty jokes aren't the ultimate answer to comedy, especially if the setup is crap. There's simply no imagination going into it, just spontaneous outbursts that are supposed to be funny. Because of this, it ends up being at the level of a kid yelling "poop" and the other kid laughing while adults either cringe or look on warmly at their juvenile innocence and silliness, only that this one comes from someone that essentially has the mind of an adult or old geezer so it becomes looks of disdain and dead fish-eyes instead. The MC has the personality and charisma of a wet piece of cardboard. He's not clever, he's not interesting, he's not worthy of his powers, he questions nothing and just goes with the flow, he's overly petty and his only response to every issue is to beat people up, but of course that's the case when the opponents are as gray and lifeless as him and only exist to be slapped for being insanely convoluted and illogical evil beings that have zero intelligence.Overall, I'd rather re-read some of my favorite novels that have a similar style but a million times better than read this. 1/5, don't read this, you'll just lose brain cells.
