Stopped after Vol 5 -- the first volume or two was actually ok, a decent weak to strong revenge plot in a sect with some political undercurrents and many factions vying for power both aboveboard and in the dark. There's the typical "I am <X> realm now and can beat anyone in the <X+N> relam" proclamations and the "there's a bigger world out there where any random guy walking in the street is as powerful as the most powerful person you've met so far", not great but not a dealbreaker if the characters or plot around it is fun enough. But after a while, it just wasn't fun enough. What made me finally drop the novel was just how insanely wordy and boring the novel got when it introduced about 40+ characters I didn't care about and about 3 that I did. But they all share screentime, so I found myself just skipping multiple chapters because it was about people I didn't care about at all. If I'm not even reading most of the chapters why even read the rest of the book?I know webnovel authors get paid by the chapter but man you really feel it with this one. Fight scenes last forever, shallow mysteries get played out for way too long, minor characters no one cares about and are obviously going to die get 2 full chapters of exposition dumps to try and flesh them out how one dimensional they are. Not worth anyone's time.
