I really love this story but I am not optimistic about getting an ending. The author released the first 194 chapters over the course of 8 months or so (2020 to 2021). Then apparently stopped writing the WN to focus on the LNs. There were three of these and the last one was released at the end of 2021 with no fourth book released in the last two years. The author started updating again in August, but has released about 16 chapters over four months. This is still a rate of a little less than a chapter a week, but the chapters aren't particularly long and compared to the chapter every two to three days rate the author started with, it's just hard to get into reading a chapter every ten days or whatever the rate is. They rarely take more than a few minutes each to read. All of that being said, there are some really epic clashes in the first 194 chapters that are very satisfying and worth reading even without the promise of an ultimate ending. Very appropriate if you read them as though you're watching the finale of an anime cour and I do recommend the whole thing. I'm sure I'll re-read this series again and again while hoping it is successful enough to continue.I really like the conceit of the level system, the restraints, and the system-breaking abilities, but the highlights for me are the attitude and perseverance of the protagonist.I remember reading someone complaining about the character grinding levels and that being boring, but it's more like the grind parts are just glossed over in-between the high octane action scenes and character relationships. If you're reading the chapters very slowly they may seem a little grindy, but the chapters are very short and extremely easy to progress through and we almost always just get the results of the grinding in-between the interesting parts.
