The MC isn't evil. This is the story of a girl with serious mental issues and a really messed up home life getting into a full-dive vrmmo and going full battle junkie. The background of everything isn't really fleshed out all that deeply at this point, but the parts we do see so far paint a bleak picture of the MC's life and mental state. She doesn't really have a concept of good and evil, only being a s*ave to her own desires and whims because 'it might be fun', and the only thing stopping her from becoming something horrible outside of the game is the words of her late mother telling her how to behave. She's more of a shell of a person than a person. Most of the reviews seem to be people who picked this up, read 10 chapters, then dropped it because it was 'edgy' and then reviewed it poorly despite not actually having really gotten into it at all. The story doesn't really seem to have any major plotline in the foreground, but in the background details you can get an idea of where it seems to be going.Spoiler
Her father (who is a major investor) is using the game as a way to scan people's brains and develop AI technology as a way to 'bring back' the MC's deceased mother, but he also thinks his daughter is a monster and the only reason why he doesn't get rid of her (permanently) is because she is the last tie to his now deceased wife. All despite the fact he cheated on her and had a pair of illegitimate children, who's mother married in after the MC's mom died.
[collapse]It's really hard to say how good this is in it's current state due to so much of the background not being clearly stated and a lot of the events in the MC's past being inferred/mentioned but not explained. I'm leaning towards 3.5 stars overall, but I round up usually unless rounding up would give a perfect rating.
