Coming from another novel that was also into historical politics, but with the MC and ML always second guessing the other, plotting about ways to win the other and the back plot of war and succession overhanging their every step, I have to say I enjoyed this novel from the start until now. Our MC wants to be like the usual aloof and smart, backstabbing cunning role that he transmigrated in. But... reality is reality. And that’s what makes it so entertaining to read until now. It’s like a parody of those serious political angstful novels.And I love the jab this novel is having at them.
