I MTLed this novel and couldn't make it past chapter 98. I was reading this novel and I realized that I didn't like the MC or ML at all. I kept hoping to see more depth in their characters but I just couldn't make myself like either of them. The MC is abrasive, sassy and self claims as a genius while really cribbing off of her past life knowledge. While this is pretty normal for transmigration novels, she wrote as if she had a good modern education and the EQ of a ten year old. If she was really trying to hide her identity as a pen pal and pass as someone of a different age, why didn't she try to disguise her tone? It's true she has some important considerations about her identity and ML's identity, but the way the author wrote her character just made her unlikable to me. She throws fits and gets all uppity because she has all this knowledge that just makes it unpleasant to read. It just doesn't sound like the tone of an adult woman. Well I haven't read far enough so maybe it'll turn out that she was a transmigrated teenager. I have no idea really but I can't bear to read another page of her character. If you like sassy, bickering, arrogant, and two-faced characters, read this novel. ML is coldblooded and ruthless, and the writer writes nothing of his emotions as of 98 chapters so I can't really tell how he feels but the romance is really hard to believe. Also there's almost no romance so far but even if there was, I get the feeling it would be about as bland as cardboard and equally distasteful. I stuck to the novel because I found the concept really interesting. I really wanted to continue but the MC and ML just aren't my cup of tea and none of the side characters get any story of their own or even much of a personality. Don't let me stop you from reading it, but if you don't like the MC 40 chapters in, I can tell you she won't change at least 98 chapters in. This is not a story about character development and deep emotions. Everything is a backdrop to modern innovations applied to the past.

Before this I hadn’t read any books in a few years. It could easily be a book you would buy from a book store. The story sucked me in so much that I read everything in two days. Waiting patiently for the new book to come out.
