The ML simply does not understand consent and tries (and sometimes succeeds) to force MC to sleep with him. He doesn’t do it in a violent way but instead by manipulating her in other ways, which is why I believe nobody is talking about it. He also body shames her.MC is not perfect either but at least she never forces ML into s*x. I understand that the flawed characters are a part of the appeal of the novel. However, the way the a**holey (and borderline abusive) behavior of ML is simply downplayed as him "being a bit rough", does not sit right with me, which is why I dropped this novel.I gave it a 2 star review because the writing is alright, so if you do not mind a red flag ML, then this is for you.
