Charlie’s Book Chapter 45 Discussion

  • #1
Main Characters:

    • Charlie is the MC. He's human but he has a rabbit head (he was cursed). But what's more interesting about him is his mysterious identity. He knows a lot of things, he seems well connected and he knows magic.
    • Dwight is the ML. He is a duke and he commissioned MC because he thinks his sister (so lives far away) is in danger.
    • Shivers is the ML's guard.
    • Columbus is the MC's friend who is a tin-soldier (he used to be human but was cursed)
    • Eugene is a thief who joins the gang later on.
Summary so far:Spoiler
    • I've only read chapters 45 out of 222 so what I know is less than half
    • ML thinks his sister (who was married off in a faraway land) is in danger. He heard the MC is someone who can fulfill wishes so ML went to MC, ML wants MC to confirm if his sister is in danger.
    • MC says he knows a famous astrologist who can help ML. ML's shocked because MC is claiming he knows the whereabouts of a 1 out of 4 astrologist who has been missing for so long.
    • So MC, ML and Columbus traveled to meet this astrologist, it turns out that MC is the one that helped the astrologist find a hiding place that's why he knows where the astrologist is.
    • The astrologist confirms that ML's sister is kinda in danger. He says that the sister is faced with conspiracies and her spirit is almost unable to take the mental load or stress.
    • They go back to the town and go their separate ways. The next day, ML wanted to travel (just him and Shivers) to visit his sister. This is difficult because as a duke, if he travels to another country, this can lead to political shits and even war. The ML has the idea of recruiting MC but it turns out that MC actually left his house and seems won't be coming back anytime soon (he leaves a note to his neighbor).
    • MC is traveling because he wants to find the witch that placed a curse on him and Columbus. MC doesn't really care about his rabbit head (ML also asked about this once and MC said he can turn it back when he wants) but MC is cares a lot about Columbus. Columbus is forgetting more and more about when he used to be human and his robotic joints are also failing so MC wants to seek Elena (the witch).
    • Eventually, MC and ML meet on the road and they decide to join forces.
    • MC will help ML infiltrate a palace (where his sister is) and ML will help MC find Elena.
    • Somethings happened and ML wa able to infiltrated the palace and he gets to talk with his sister. Things happened and ML needs to escape very quick or else he'll get caught. While on the run, he meets Oliver (a guy who's also escaping and turns out to be MC in human form).
    • Here we get a hint that MC's sister seems to know MC's human version and MC seems to have studied with ML when they were young.
    • ML's sister seems to still be in a conspiracy situation but ML knows he can't do anything about it so he chooses to leave first and help MC first.

LIKES:

    • The MC is a very mysterious character. He makes me want to know more about him, his past and what his capabilities really are.
DISLIKES:

    • By chapter 45, I feel like we're presented or hinted about a lot of mysteries but none is solved yet or has much progresso. It really feels like the tip of the iceberg.
    • Having many mysteries is interesting but it's also making me lose interest in the story because it's kinda becoming 'boring'
OVERALL:

    • I recommend that you try this novel. I think it's a good one but for me, I won't be continuing to read because I don't have much patience right now when the pacing of the novel is slow.
    • Rating: 3.5 (but won't be rating in NU as to not aggect the overall rating cause I didn't finish this anyway)

This is the best story line in the series  Loved it. Recommend everyone to read up all the series however I love the story line in He’s My Alpha, Alpha Jacob’s maturity amongst the group of Alpha’s makes him my kind of Alpha. His intense love for Clair, whooping Aeon for Clair trumped all. Love him

I really love your writing! I wasn't planning to read all of your work. That was the biggest lie I ever told myself.

One of the best books I've read. The problems with some of the readings is the ending. It never seems to do justice to the story line. This book captures it all. Amazing read!!!
