This novel is great at explaining exactly why the protagonist acts like a pet, and doesn't know she's seducing them. This novel is The Antagonist's Pet except gay, toxic, and the main character not just trying to survive.Spoiler
Since she used to be a man, she's just emulating what he saw his female friend doing in the past life. Unfortunately, she doesn't think gay people exist in medieval times. I'm not sure if my bar for master manipulators is low, but she very good at psychological things. Except, the way she does it is a disaster in the future. There is also elements of ab*se and well, pe*verts. The mother-daughter relationship sure is strong....
