So far, I'm 1000x more invested in the plot of the movie he's starring in than the actual plot of the novel. Even though I know it's going to have a rubbish ending. The actual novel isn't bad but percentage-wise, I'm pretty sure we've spent more time on the movie plot than outside of it.I guess I'm also a bit confused about the choice to make him both the godfather of mechanics but then also... an actor? Feels like it would've been better to just focus him on one aspect, the whole actor thing feel very unrelated and filler.I also don't really understand why he and his AI are playing coy "I recognise you but I'm going to pretend I don't" games with each other. The AI is an all powerful, all knowing entity, except when the plot requires him not to be. Like seriously, he controls literally everything, but somehow enemies can still plot... via the Internet, without him knowing.
