Love the girl squad surviving on their own with their own skillz and need no man energy. So much better than those millions of books on surviving horror instances where they picture girls as either a burden, an object for s*xual desire at all times, useless, helpless, cowardly, only good for seducing (although the MC does make use of this but like in a quirky way), incapable of working with others and other females, selfish and ruthless, or non-existent. Imagine that: females being 3D in a horror scene. She does have a lot of plot armor let's be real though. She's definitely Op. But it's really a funny/comedy novel so I can't take it too seriously and I just enjoy it. The premise is fun and quirky and different enough to draw you into otherwise just another book about horror sequences. But this one feels like there's more of a purpose because the structure of it is based around terminally ill patients who need a second chance at life. And it isn't about patients attacking each other. One of the cons of this book other than the plot armor that the MC has is that I would say she doesn't mind taking points when she has a business or a plan from other patients. Which I would argue is like maybe not morally correct but she's surviving you know. And she's not like bullying them into it. Yea she is kinda ruthless sometimes, but to a degree it's understandable in this environment. The other con is that low-key high-key her wardmates are so lecherous towards men like I'm all for the reversal of dynamic but I don't like seeing this for either gender. Saying lecherous might be a stretch tbh. They're just thirsty and after awhile I'm just tired of reading about it lol.The biggest pro is that the translations are among the best I've ever seen. Footnotes, details, and images galore. It's really so easy to tell when someone mtls for money (the audacity) versus high quality translations, esp when you see it. This is top tier translations.
