The story started out strong. After her divorce, the MC (Ji Nuan) spent her life in misery. Her father passed away, the family business collapsed and she finally died in a jell cell. She woke up, confused, and realized she had gone back in time (rebirth). She took that as her second chance in life. Apart from deciding not to give up on her marriage, she also wanted revenge. So, there you were, waiting for the revenge to start. Only it's a slow burn. The writer decided that the MC and her husband's relationship should be given the spotlight. At first, it was cute and fluffy but after too much sugar, you'll end up wanting to skim the story. To get the reader to stay on, the writer places a mysterious past on the ML (Mo Jingshen). Did he and MC ever meet prior to their marriage? What was in the locked room? Why was everyone around ML keeping it a hush-hush from MC?I'm not going to say much about it as you can find spoiler on the net. But, for a 700-something chapter that can be wrapped up if only the writer didn't play the rinse-and-repeat tactic, it got boring way too fast even with all the lovey-dovey moments. For a story, to have a domineering ML is a must. But, for the sake of humanity, don't even dream of it in real life. It's borderline creepy.
