D'arby tried to figure out what he's trying to pull off but each win irked him more and more to the point of near-insanity. After the one thing that guarantees his victory was rendered useless, he admitted defeat and Kakyoin was saved.

That's what gamers get when they try to rise up.

One of Jotaro’s best strengths is keeping his cool.  As much as he wants to beat the hell out of his opponent, he doesn’t crack and that unflinching confidence in the face of such a powerful stand made D’arby break.  He exhausted everything until he gave up in his heart.  We even got a cool dual Joestar beatdown.  What’s not to like?!



Well, there’s something.  My very first thought was that Joseph was playing for Jotaro with Hermit Purple.  That was the first thing my brain went to.  Occam's razor, if the body isn’t doing what the soul says, it’s a different body doing it.  I mean, you knew he was cheating, man.  The fact that he didn’t catch that felt a little dumb to me.  I understand the point of it was to say D’arby senior has a handle on cheating, the way he was beaten was by pretending to cheat and bluffing out the wazoo.  So, there’s a nice parallel here that to genuinely cheat would beat the brat who's taken the easy way out.  That’s fine, I won’t claim this is a serious issue, it just felt a little lame for such a long part.  Ultimately, I would have preferred it to end in Kakyoin's section.

They should of taken that warning for granted. Now they're going to die.
