This has been a roller coaster ride of emotions so far. I have complicated feelings about this novel. I don't hate it, infact, I love the story. But so far, reading it feels like a chore to me because I can't seem to find the thing that I'm looking for in this novel.The start of the story, like what previous reviews described, is centered to the dark reality the MC is currently living in. His actions in response to his circumstances are understandable because his opponent is not something to be messed with.The MC is great. Too great. His selflessness and modesty isn't on the level of admirable, but disgusting. I think that's the only unlikeable part of the MC, although he is aware of his hypocricy. The characters of the story are all well fleshed-out and is likeable. Harem is certainly a go here.Now the problem (my problem atleast) is that I see no signs of romance developing. Yes he already met his childhood friend, but its taking waaaay to long for the romance to develop. I mean, I came here for the romance.My rating may change as the story progress, but for now I'll put this novel on hold till the relationship of the MC and the female lead develops.
