I quite liked the novel at first and still probably like it, the story is decent as well as the characters. BUT and there's a huge but, the author is using dumb stuff to stall the plot and make it advance in the direction she wants, like the MC suddently trusting someone he doesn't know anything about, about one of the most important thing in the plot (well you see where this would be going) while he's quite distrustfull the whole time about nearly anyone and anything.

The story gets better once you get past the beginning (maybe 20+ chapters) but don't expect something revolutionary or brimming with originality.
