D'arby cheated his way to beat Joseph in his own game as well with Jotaro only realizing what really happened just when it's too late. It's a really rare thing for them to have two of the Crusaders be really defeated by one enemy.

Jotaro's a Poker Master thanks to Star Platinum because it's a game of perception in addition to luck, damn.

                        Dat anticipation...

For a 100th chapter, this wasn't very impacting.

Fantastic 100th Chapter. I loved pretty much everything about this. Definitely one of my favorite fights so far.

D’arby definitely didn’t disappoint.  He used previously introduced chocolate to prop the cup up and change its tension, and he blocked with his shadow in a move we all saw.  He was essentially able to cheat Star Platinum by doing it before the game even began, he didn’t need to do anything once the time came except change positions.  One can argue Star Platinum should have noticed regardless but that's besides the point.  With that Joseph’s heart admitted defeat and that was all that Osiris needed as it stole it from him and added a tortured Joseph, having failed Holly and Polnareff, to his collection.  Although, if this was Battle Tendency I can assure you he would have won due to the plot’s bias, but this isn’t Battle Tendency, this is Stardust Crusaders and here, Jotaro is king.  He challenged D’arby to his best game and instead of hiding the fact that he can keep track of every card in poker, he told him.  That is bold, he started by letting D’arby know that he won’t be able to cheat Star Platinum so easily.  And if this goes in Fukumoto fashion, I expect to see the end of this conflict in D’arby’s perspective as, shocked, he realizes that all is now how he predicted.  But at the same time, I feel like Jotaro normally shocks us with what he does so that isn’t a necessity.
