As Polnareff had to fight as a child alongside a chibi Silver Chariot, it made the vulnerability of child versus cruel adult evident.  A man who enjoys picking on kids and using weapons while he’s at it.  It suits him and as goofy as this villain is, reminding me of TMNT, I feel like this is a great way to explore these design and power ideas from Araki.  That said, it does continue along this pattern of questionable Egyptian gods.  Mariah felt like she could fit anywhere to me as a silly power and big ego, Oingo and Boingo were complete jokes in the truest sense, and this goofball is definitely questionable too.  I’d argue only Anubis and N’Doul carried the seriousness I would expect.  Like seriously, after Alessi is down there will only be 4 gods left?  Then Dio and the true final boss, Hol Horse, of course!  But I think I am making a grave mistake, for when did Stardust Crusaders ever even pretend it wanted to be serious and gritty, it may come in glimpses but to expect that is probably a fatal mistake with no evidence to stand for it.



Deflecting his rapier and showing that Polnareff still has some good instincts and quick thinking, he was taken in by a caring woman.  The first moment I saw her, I thought it was sweet for her to take care of an injured boy, but then I realized upon seeing how pretty she was, that this will totally get sexual.  I instantly asked if Polnareff could still be a pervert.  When we had a bath scene with the two it was no surprise.  I wonder if there is a tv tropes page for this trope I’ve seen in a few shounen.  A pervy little boy being able to thrive on female sexuality through the feign of innocence.  Either way, he was totally a mix of his pervy adult self and his younger side.  And another goes on the board of ‘degenerate anime tropes’ that I am collecting to prove to my friend that all those things he hates in anime, but he acts as if are not in Jojo, is in fact in Jojo.  So far I have incestuous themes, a loli shower scene with a horny orangutan, and a pervy shota bath scene.  Not that I necessarily take issue with them, I am just petty about his double standards!



As much as I do enjoy Polnareff, I admit I want other characters to get the screen time he does.  I want them to be put on more spontaneous and unexpected adventures, like Joseph and Abdul got recently, where they get to be the star.

Suddenly, Araki dips into /ss/

Jesus, that Stand's power certainly is impressive.

After that really close call with that creepy Alessi, he was picked up and bathed by a hot Egyptian lady who gave him a thorough clean-up complete with a weewee scrub. Set's back to ruin his fun though.
