This is making me incredibly uncomfortable!!! Of course, Polnareff would wish back those he lost. But especially in the way it's depicted, there has to be a catch without a question. I don’t want to see Sherry and Abdul sharing a life of pain as zombies, it’d be especially hard if they turn on him. I can’t blame Polnareff though, out of the cast, he’s the one with the most recent loss, and he’s the one who acts before thinking the most. I found the genie judging his wishes as ‘boring’ to be odd, but maybe it’s because they wouldn’t be nearly as harmful as what’s about to occur. And beyond all else, let’s not bring Abdul’s father his son back as a zombie-monster. That’s even worse than what was about to happen!! At least we got his cute desires of wealth, fame, and true love.
This arc is really cool. I like how deeply it ties into the strongest emotional arc of the story thus far regarding Abdul’s fate, the guilt over his loss, his father, and presumably, the ramifications of Polnareff’s wishes.
