I’ve come to find Kakyoin adorable. The way he giggled at the girls lies on the boat, the way he eats cherries, the way he sighed in the Wheel of Fortune, even his sideways, confused glance at the dog here. Beyond that, I like how well he holds himself together, and through his quiet nature we can at times see how passionate he really is. Plus, he’s totally bonded with Polnareff after the Abdul attack and to see him and Polnareff get into this conflict together is something I’m definitely looking forward to.
Death 13 seems to be one of the coolest stands I’ve seen so far. I loved the Hanged Man and Justice was pretty radical too, but a dream world where it can attack in Freddy Krueger style; especially if it's the stand of a fanged baby, that is going to be a good time. I especially liked how we started with it being a mystery for the characters, getting into Kakyoin’s mind as he put all the odd coincidences together; going so far to see the dog who died in his dream, dead in real life. Speaking of that, the more Jojo I read, the more I find sympathy for Cars. The dog he saved was like the only animal who Araki didn’t write into the story with the intention of killing.
The gang got the plane they needed, Joseph looks as fly as ever in his pilot gear, however, they were tricked into bringing the demonic baby along and thus, until they drop it off, it can kill the boys in their dreams. Maybe Jotaro should be afraid of an enemy stand more than that of Joseph’s piloting. But if he’s never landed a plane properly, I don’t blame Jotaro. At least they can toss the baby out like a baseball when they find out the truth.
