This is a fun read but overstays its welcome. As with a few similar novels based on reincarnation/second chances, the main character takes full advantage of unreleased popular songs. The novel doesn't cleanly explain, at least to my recollection, if the releases are due to time or if the originating artists are not alive in this story. Popular songs Spoiler
like One More Light by Linkin Park, I Lived by One Republic, See you Again by Charlie Puth & Wiz Khalifa (Which through some roundabout way still ends up being the theme song of F&F despite Paul Walker avoiding the accident)
[collapse] suddenly become villains as the author needed them to be the foil to the main character. They don't really start off with a good backstory for why they become the villain sometimes. Despite all of that, I did enjoy all 2.5k chapters I've read and am disappointed it ended where it did.So why did I say the story overstayed it's welcome? Isn't it contradictory to say it overstayed it's welcome and still be disappointed it ended? The story could be broken into two parts really. SpoilerBefore EGOT, and after EGOT.
[collapse]Personally, I believe that you can read up to Spoilerthe main character's EGOT completion
[collapse] Other than the two plot lines, you can effectively ignore the last 1k+ chapters. So my recommendation is:This is a fun work if you have a lot of time. You can effectively read up to the above and leave satisfied. You can read the full work and it may leave you dissatisfied due to the loose ends.
