Are all the romance stories like this?

So having read a majority of the stories on here I decided after some recommendations to have a look at romance/josei stories and something that instantly struck me is that almost all of them have the exact same settings most of them using the same "young master" or slapping troupe like in the xiaxian and wuxia stories I do understand both are chinese so maybe I shouldn't be suprised.

What does surprise me however is that in almost all of them the female MC will almost always be super rich/powerful but hiding it, or she is from a super rich/powerful family but somehow all of it is controlled by a relative or some random ppl who's adopted her.

Spoiler: A bit of a rantMost often the settings will be that the evil relative or whoever sends ppl to sabotage/beat up/rape/kidnap/kill the MC and how do they fund this? Why of course with the MC's money that they for some obscure reason controls. Then they will keep doing this for multiple times until finally the MC confronts them. But then their all family so she will only threaten them, even though they might have been behind the MC's parents dying (and the MC knows this for a fact) and tried to kill them multiple times. Eventually she gets sick and then she decides to take it to court since it's all her money and she would easily win. They get all nervous or pull up some will left behind by her parents that will usually proclaim that she has to get a child or get married before the age of 26-30 (or something) or everything will be given to the grandparents or relatives. MC get's scared/depressed and really nervous that she will lose everything and the relatives or whatnot will laugh at her and then they get to keep everything.

Which is kind of a huge plot hole in my eyes since the will they almost always present actually means that "everything" and I mean everything belongs to the MC and only if at that age she hasn't done what is included in the will can they start a process to transfer ownership. But yeah they all get to keep the money and then keep using it against the MC.
In short are all the stories not really about romance but more about the struggle between families and everyone (most often including the MC herself) trying to keep something between the MC and the love interest?

How about you try this
If You Don't Go To Hell, Who Will?
It's a teenage romance that doesn't have those typical conflicts

Yeah, after reading a good number of plots like that, I came across these so-called "Quick Transmigration: ..." novels. They take those tropes and break through them. Magnifecently. They are pretty much short-story collections, but they have OP mc's (in either brain or brain&brawn varieties) and faceslapping (and revenge) is both satisfying and not endlessly far in the future. (So if a stepmom/halfsibling/whatever is being favored or has control, they WILL lose that power in the most gratifying ways.)

If common cultivation novel have its trope, then so does strong female mc novel. Both are there to prove the same point, its that the mc are smart and strong enough to not be messed with. No matter how ridiculously stupid the 'trap' set by their enemies.
If you want more romance less to no cultivation, read those less than 300 chapters one. Most of those include scheming but not exagerated.

I think we're reading different novels? The prince is definitely not a creepy CEO-like ML.

And this story is a slice of life shoujo, the adventure thing is not the focus of the novel, so of course it wouldn't have much spotlight.

Agree with nightcore above, but would also suggest giving Side character transmigrations last boss is no joke  a shot, as even if there is xyz issue it doesn’t carry over onto a next arc (or I don’t notice it behind the comedy)

give the author satisfaction as when they write the stories they would partly imagine themselves as the main character.
in those cases, they would want to be rich and powerful, but to make it more satisfying to them when the face-slap occurs, they will hide their rich and powerful identities.

I don't know what was I typing.

The majority of them are like that unless you go for the ones with less than 100 chaps, these shorter ones tend to be more focused on the romances rather than family drama.

Make a story 100 % romance and it flops eg Temperature of Love.
Think of it like candy.
Bits are nice but if you eat it three times a day as a meal.....

+100000000000000 to this. Side Character Transmigrations is all about ridiculing and pulverizing all of the ridiculous tropes of CN novels, from white lotuses to retarded scheming families to young masters. Sheng-ge (MIGHTY IS SHE IN BREAKING SHIPS) just trolls the ever-loving hell out of the world!MLs and world!FLs while taking puppy hubby for walks.

That started out sooooo well but nosedived when author-san turned F!protag into the usual shoujo weakass, CEO-like creepy ML attracting delicate flower.

Yes. Most C-romance stories here are focused on author's self-satisfaction, so they are kinda littered with hollier-than-thou revenge fantasies, power trips, characters showering praises on MCs, MCs become romance interests one way or another with anything wearing pants while acting innocent.
To avoid boredom, you could try some real tragedy stories on this site, authors are quite good in understanding human psyche and know how to self-restrain for decent story-telling.
