In my opinion, there's gotta be some underlying psychological issue. There's no way in hell I would tolerate that shit lmao

I think that is a bit of a false equivalence as the way that the game presents blood isn't super realistic and that is a part of why you like playing the game. The main appeal of the game though isn't the blood though its the action and the skill and the power. Its the thrill the excitement and the fear. Those things would apply to you in real life as well. Look I am curious about why people like NTR so much, I mean I don't have the answers and that is why I am asking. One line of reasoning tells me that its sheer popularity and appeal mean that it cannot be anything but the desire to be cuckolded as that is its main appeal but another line of reasoning tells me that the desire to be cuckolded being a very negative evolutionary trait must be an abberation and cannot be so widespread. So this is where my curiosity comes from.

Because humans can be sadists. Reading about a protagonist suffering makes your life seem much better.
It is a good stress reliever.
The opposite is also true. People want escapism. Reading about a protagonist whose life is perfect, he wins every battle and every war... yawn boring if you ask me

P.S I enjoy a good NTR story especially if the protagonist finds a second "one true love"
It makes it all the more satisfying eg Laughing Proud Wanderer. Legend of Chusen and most good wuxia.

Some people just like seeing the MC getting bad stuff happan to them, be it NTR, humiliation, and so on.
When you watch sports, do you place yourself as the player or the spectator enjoying the show.
