Good novels you've dropped.

Do you have any good novel you have dropped? The novel that didn't go bad. You still think it was good. Something just make you dropped it.

Mine was "The Iron Teeth". It was good even at the moment I dropped it. But after the "wipe out", the tone and casts changed drastically. The writing was still good. The story reasonable. I understand the changes. But I after 10 or so chapters after the wipe I cannot take it anymore and dropped it.

Second Life Ranker, dropped it early , because it's ongoing and there was not that many chapters.

I guess when I do this I try to leave more "good stuff" for later. I keep it in the back of the mind and will probably come back in few months to read it again.

i see.. how's the ending? no good?
aww.. did it turn out like the FL takes everything the ML does like a martyr just coz he likes him? thanfully i didnt finish it... *wipes sweat*

It was that sort of ending where every person who tried to harm them in some way got punished and yeah the FL takes everything the ML does, she totally lost her cool from the beginning
And the ML turned even worse, he was all cold and yet totally obsessive, petty and brutal

Ugh. I hated those. It feels like they are butchering the novel.

The clash between readers shipping and cannon pair. I honestly rarely ever ship the cannon pair. Secondary ones are often more interesting

A Will Eternal, it just got kinda boring and frustrating the comedy got stale after the first 100 chapter or so. Couldnt bring myself to continue

There were some good novels that i used to read which i've forgotten the titles of now and i remember dropping them due to the translator not using footnotes and having too many translator notes in alot of chapters. Occasionally even memeing from the time to time or even posting images in between.

I dropped in a different world with naruto system when the mc keeps letting women walk all over him and keeps getting assaulted viciously all in the name of comedy

ATG because the mc has his piorities all wrong his love interest never liked never was she interested in him not to talk about love what happened was that they were the only 2 people from the same  city that survived a slaughter that killed everyone they knew(that's why she aslept with him its just like comfort sex she knew she was going to die so she wanted to know what it feels like before her death) the mc comes back to the past and orchestrated events that will make her fall in love with him while ignoring the one that actually loves him(he might claim ignorance but what about when they left the town and went to different sects one particularly nasty vicious bitch that has crippled a lot guys because she felt like it. In his former life nothing happened between them but in this one he got engaged to her started teaching her and saying she not a bad person after been threaten by her grandmother but when he became more powerful than the grandmother he continued doting on her . when I dropped the novel he already has more than 5 women he was entangled with with.

The novels that are so horrible butchered with MTL that even 'he' and 'she' are mixed up.
Also if it's a long novel and I've forgotten too much about it that I can't go on and I need to reread it, but it's not enjoyable because I still remember the most interesting twists or it only gets good later on

Stories that are so amazing, and then they devolve into a harem for the sake of having a harem. I was reading one, can't remember the name, but the guy was Chinese and went back in time. He started selling bank notes and cars (etc), but after discovering he was going to be in a harem, I just tapped out. Even though the romance only occurred every 50 chapters.

Another is where this woman gets kicked out of her husband's house and divorced. Yada yada they get back together, and then she switches bodies randomly. Something about switching bodies annoys me. It was getting interesting, but I hate that trope of random, out of nowhere, supernatural elements that destroys a slice of life-esque story.

Not exactly "good stories I dropped", but a lot of times I find yet another power fantasy (and possibly Isekai) trash to burn time on, the premise seems interesting enough to draw my attention, it goes fine for a few chapters, then BOOM! I get slapped with the multi-whammy of harem, protagonist turns out to be generic light novel guy, the author uses the opposition to describe his view of every bully to ever torment him and gets back at them via the story... And I drop yet another disappointment.

On the other hand, I was a single chapter away from dropping Mushoku Tensei when I started it. Got to a point where I was mentally predicting cliche developments, then the author sidelined me with a development I didn't expect and I ended up reading on. Definitely not sorry I did.

my death flags show no sign of ending
the author is a retarded person who couldn't put an end to his work and doesn't want to put a happy end cause that would be like rushing and trying to shut up the readers i truly loved the story and all but the author is just a retarded person who couldnt put the novel on hiatus or discontinue it but left it like that for more than a year at least try to be like
Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu
where the author put it on indefinite hiatus which means not gonna be continued
