Ive read the mtl up to chapter 987 so ill summarize thw salacious points.
NuanNuan has a hidden identity to cover up her identity as a mercenary. Whixh is that she is the daughter of the duke of eaton from Rentan. The names are a bit weird but yeah so she is part of the noble family since the duke is also the brother of the queen. She used his money to invest in mines and to gamble with jade and since she has her power she became very rich after returning thw initial investment. Using the money she earned as a mercenary and using her power she made the tianheng group. So she is the chairman of an internationallu renown group and a noble from a foreign country.....
Regarding her mother and her story so apparently, her mother was known to the zhong and jiang family as Pu Yu because she was saved by zhong kuijiun and when she woke up she had amnesia. Initially she didnt want to marry zhong kuijiun but later she found out she was pregnant so she married him after. She didnt know that zhong kuijiun had already had a wedding ceremony with jiang shuwan and jiang shuwan was also pregnant. When pu yu was pregnant she had a helper who told her about the weird sunstance they put in her drinking water and had it tested she found out that zhong kuijiun was poisoning her so she turned to a geoup of lawyers to protest her daughter in case she died. Apparently she had alot of money.
The zhong and jiang family didnt know until later that she was actually nangong yu, the little princess of a prestigious family in the capital city of the camino country. So they killed her for the inheritance and then did a bone marrow transfer so that kiang shuwans daughter could inherit the fortune of pu yu ie nangong yu.
There is a deeper conspiracy. Since someone approuched jiang shuwan to kidnap nuannuan because they knew her true identity as a member of the nangong family and they knew that the females in that line had the power to see through things. Apparently the people kidnapped nuannuan are part of the mercenary organization she was a part of and thought she destroyed. The KE organization had been tatgeting the nangong and chi families because of their powers.
Viper wanted to kidnap and experiment on chi yang because of his power. Viper is the superior to scorpion which was the peraon that initially ordered for the kidnapping od nuannuan. She was also the right hand man of the king that nuannuan thought she killed when they destroyed the headquarters of the ke organization.

Regarding Zhong Kujin... I really can't feel any sympathy for him. Sorry, although the Jiang family were horrible to him, his GREED is what made him think he 'loved' ZNN's mom. When she gave him money for rescuing her and taking her to the hospital, he realized how RICH she was so he raped her... How can that be love??? If he really loved her, why did he assist in killing her with the Jiang's just so he could get ahold of her money? Even though he did sell ZNN to the human traffickers like Jiang Shuwan, when ZNN came back an was framed for murder by her dear, dear sister, did he even try to get her out? Did he visit the daughter of his 'true love'??? NO! He is just a complete scumbag who only cares about his greed.
