Book Review of Sunset Boulevard:

It seems that the author of Ka Bi Qiu has always enjoyed writing short-healing novels, and this is also a short-healing novel set as ABO. I once heard a sentence: Everyone is an arc, and two people who can make a circle are a pair. This story is probably about two people whose lives are not complete or perfect but make a circle.
Alpha Chen Boqiao in the story has a seemingly perfect life and resume. As an officer colonel, the son of the richest man in the alliance, there are many admirers. Even if he is in prison, there are countless friends and the people help him. However, behind the unknown, he has an incomplete native family. His parents are incompatible, separated for many years, and his mother has died prematurely, making him extremely indifferent to family and affection since childhood. This is probably the reason he never tempted to confession by countless people. Moreover, he has always had a knot and felt that he was not worthy of being a hero in the people's mind. After all, his original intention of joining the military academy was only to be angry with his father.
About the Omega Zhang Jue in the story, from an outsider's point of view, his character is too lonely and out of group. Only in the eyes of a few friends and parents, he is the most beautiful existence. Because the native family is happy, although he looks lonely and indifferent, he is actually very docile to his relatives and friends, especially when facing Chen Boqiao who he liked for more than ten years, and he can’t wait to dig his heart out. Very humble, he never expect the two to really walk together.
After failing to confess at the age of sixteen, Zhang did not dare to meet Chen Boqiao more than ten years. After learning that Chen was in jail, he repeatedly planned to come to rescue him for several months, but also accidentally disrupted Chen Boqiao’s original rigorous rescue plan, and the escape plan that had been formed in three days, were delayed for seven or eight days because of an accident. After these many accidents, Chen Boqiao also unexpectedly discovered that he need love, as long as the one is the right person. And after telling Zhang about his heart knot, Chen still get his love. Zhang is like a hero to Chen. In the end, it became a perfect love from a secret love, and the two healed each other.
Although the author's novel is not long, it is coherent, and the description of the story and emotion is comfortable. The length is suitable for people to read the complete text, and they will not be tired. I personally like Zhang Jue. After all, this world still has more ordinary people like me and so on. It’s inevitable that those excellent people will have some such admiration, although I definitely won’t make such impulsive things as Zhang Jue for this admiration, nor will be as strong and long as Zhang Jue ’s affection for Chen Boqiao, long and fierce, but we can always find more or less some of his past shadows about his secret love with someone. And about Zhang Jue’s love, hopefully, in a way, it can also be called a cure for our old feelings.
