(KR) (R18) The Duchess’s Dangerous Love Life

Spoiler: EarthquakeAfter an earthquake hits, Adele gets hurt and sick so Noah takes Adele to a small house in the mountains/village because the roads are blocked due to the earthquake. He cooks a stew for her. Adele thinks it’s delicious and eats a lot.

Adele feels dirty so Noah helps Adele take a bath in the outdoor bath tub. Adele reflects on how Noah treats her nicely by buying jewels and how he always seems to desire her. They then finally have consensual sex where they both seem to enjoy it. Adele is actually the one to initiate it first. Anyways, they have some kinky outdoor bath snu snu.Spoiler: ShoppingAdele goes shopping for stuff. After she’s saved by Noah from street thugs, she gives him a kiss on the cheek when he asks for a reward because he took care of her when she was drugged. He also pokes her cheeks because he thinks they’re very soft. After the kiss on the cheek, Noah keeps asking for more. He tells Adele that it was really hard for him when he was taking care of Noah. Adele laughs at him because he seems like a kid who keeps asking for more. She tells him he didn’t suffer because she knows he enjoyed it too lol

They enter a jewelry store afterwards and Noah buys her the most expensive jewels and Adele is very thankful because she could never get such things when she was with Enon.Spoiler: DanceDuring a dinner party/ball, Adele and Noah dance together. It’s a waltz that requires a lot of skinship. Adele gets nervous because all of the touching. Noah kisses her multiple times in front of everyone while dancing and everyone is jealous of his passionate romance.

No offense to the translators but kinda tired of these sex scenes where the woman is trembling and helpless and the man is man is super dominant (not in a good way). I mean if it was a few novels it is ok but it's like so many korean novels are like this... I feel kinda bad for FL. I mean it's kinda toeing the border of consent here. Maybe I'm too old and this is what young women like these days.

One day I hope for a remarriage one where fl and ml both participate enthusiastically with full consent.

Spoiler: Near the ending (truth of Enon’s death)Stupid emperor forcibly makes Adele stay in the Empress Palace while Noah was out getting sentenced for treason. He confesses and proposes to Adele and that night, Noah visits her room through the window. Noah asks for her hand in marriage again, asking Adele to always be with him. It's a sweet confession and he even admits he's been wanting to do this for 14 years now. He tells her it's okay if she doesn't love him and that he just wants to be with her. Adele's still confused but Noah says he'll tell her everything soon. Adele finally links Enon's death with Noah's feelings. Noah admitted he killed Enon and doesn't regret it and that he'll do it again if he could have her. This makes Adele push him away and says to Noah she only sees him as her brother-in-law. She sees Noah's eyes getting moist but continues to push him away. Some maid knocks on the door and Noah disappears. Continuation is with her memory coming back and the previous spoilers given here.Spoiler: BonusThere's an extra story about Noah a year after his marriage. He gained short-term amnesia in an accident while protecting Adele and wakes up with his 17 year-old memories in a 27 year-old body. Mentally teenage Noah can't believe his first love really became his wife and is turning red every time he looks at her pretty face and got jealous when he found out Adele was married to his older brother first. They also do the deed and Adele was so excited to finally look like the expert in bed. Noah still did good but kept turning red, yet he still managed to ask her if they could do it (twice) again  lol. His memory returned the next morning and they do the deed when Adele was riding him. We found out from this story the reason he acted like a jerk during their first fight (when Adele slapped him) was because he was jealous that Adele still referred to Enon as her husband, and he did sooner or later apologize for that.  There was also a scene before the amnesia where he picked up Adele from a lady's gathering around 11pm even though the gathering would usually end around 2am, and it was all because he was lonely. If he didn’t come home for the night, he would always surprise her with gifts (flowers, letters, etc.) and wouldn’t stop embracing her once he returned.

Spoiler: Wedding ceremonyThe emperor was present in the marriage ceremony between the princess and Noah. Noah's appearance during this scene was very haggard and the dark bags under his eyes were very prominent. Before the marriage ceremony, he had been constantly interrogated.

Noah was asked a set of questions as part of the marriage vows. But nah, Noah's was not gonna have any of this bullsht, as soon as he was asked if he loved the bride (the princess), he grabs a sword and aims it towards the emperor. When the emperor's knights were about to seize Noah, gunshots rang out. One of the knight’s sword closest to the Noah was broken.

Emperor and Noah turned their head to the source in surprise. Adele was disguised as a bridesmaid and the gun was hidden inside the bouquet she was held. (Adele also comments how security seems to be very sloppy lmao)

The princess wants her out because this was HER wedding, but Adele fired a shot without changing her expression telling the princess to be quiet.  The bullet was fired in front of the princess' feet as a warning and the princess fainted due to anger. Adele returned the ring to the emperor and refused his proposal as she only wanted to remain as a Maktus. Emperor warned her that if she refused, then she will die.

Adele acknowledges this. She shuts him up by saying that she does not love him (go girl!). She approached Noah instead with a bouquet of forget-me-not in her hands.

Adele apologizes for not remembering him and their past together. But now she does, she realized how much Noah had struggled seeing her married to the older brother instead of him and how he was burdened with power (the black magic thing) that he never wanted. Noah comforts her saying that it’s alright and kisses her.

Noah continues with his worries. Their castle is gone, there are no knights to protect her. He always wanted to make her smile, but he can't seem to do so. Despite this, Noah wished that they would live together for the rest of their lives and Adele responded that she will gladly do so.

I just lo’ld since the wedding hall was a mess. The knights were still standing with their swords drawn, emperor looked miserable while the princess was unconscious (reminder that this was the marriage ceremony between noah and the princess) lmfao Although they were already married, this one was more special since they've confirmed each others feelings.
SpoilerThere was no other women don't worry. His mind is really just filled with Adele tbh, for like, more than a decade . Their confession with each other happened in the spoiler tag 'wedding ceremony' above.
