Spoilers continued~
-Everyone is nervous because the kid means continued Fang family line and that isn't what Manager Song wants. He doesn't even care whether Chengyu lives or dies at this point (since he'll die anyway), since the issue of a successor throws a wrench in his plans.
-Chengyu plans to go away from home, which throws a bunch of people into a tizzy. (since everyone is worried about Chengyu dying on the way)
-Old Madam agrees to let Chengyu go, which makes a lot of people hesitant. Jiuling agrees with Old Madam's decision, stating that it would be more dangerous for him to be home at this point. Their decision makes a lot of people think that Old Madam and his mother are giving up on Chengyu. The sisters can only trust that the Old Madam is not merciless and is doing this for a purpose (since they're not in the know).
-...Lingzhi seems to be in on the killing Chengyu too... she hopes he dies so the fake pregnancy isn't found out......
-Jiuling is going along with Chengyu on the trip. She's also bringing along the 'trustworthy' guy Lei Zhonglian... he used to be Fang dad's bodyguard.
-turns out this Lei used to be a famous bodyguard. He got injured in the same fight that caused Fang dad to die and could no longer be a bodyguard. He's sad about becoming a waste and losing his buddies in that fight.
-Jinxiu sneaks around and refuses to let her brother get bullied. LOL this girl. She's eavesdropping on people she thinks are suspicious like Lingzhi and goes to find Jiuling who always knows something. She scares herself when she runs into Liu'er and barges into Jiuling's room. Jiuling isn't there.
-then there's a strange male voice and the girls are afraid. Liu'er regains courage and lights the room (he was trying to break into Jiuling's place), then confronts him and screams 'thief,' throwing the entire estate into chaos. This chases the guy away.
-Jinxiu is frustrated while waiting with Liu'er for Jiuling to return, because Liu'er doesn't know anything. She doesn't ask and just does as Jiuling says.
-Jiuling goes to 'Runan' where she says her family is. She's bringing along Chengyu and Lei Zhonglian. Lei Zhonglian gets the idea (after seeing Chengyu) that maybe the Old Madam and co. haven't given up on Chengyu but are actually biding their time for something.
-Manager Song seems put out that Chengyu isn't at home. (HAH)
@missycin: I think so? I haven't got that far yet, but he seems to be in it for the Fang family's bank business.
Also, I skimmed a bit more of the ending through MTL.
-Ning Yunzhao still seems to have some kind of feelings for Jiuling but gives them up. They part amicably.
-Jinxiu is still around being fiery and kicking butt.
-Zhu Zhan killed the emperor... Now he's on the run in the north.
-Jiuling leaves to go to Zhu Zhan. Zhu Zhan and his men are living it rough up north, but Zhu Zhan is still thinking of Jiuling though they're parted and he knows it's unlikely for her to come to him. He even picks a snow lotus flower for her lol.
-Just when Zhu Zhan and his men think they're in for another fight, it turns out it's Jiuling. This is when she asks how Zhu Zhan became so ugly (LOL), and goes for a hug. It's a really sweet moment because his mouth's running off indignantly but he's still hugging her.
-Last part of ending is about some people I have no idea about burning incense at a grave.

I just lost interest in this novel for a while like I said cause of the Ning's attitude. So I stop mtl, but yeah the Ning's 10th son do find out about Jiu Ling, and also find out about her sister schemes. Later on he force his mother to punish the sister by quickening the sister marriage, so the sister has to focus on her marriage instead of Jiu Ling. Later on the premise move into the capital, and Ning's10S already found out about Jiu Ling was his ex fiance and know that JiuLing has no insterest in him. But he unknowingly already falling for her and keep looking for her with many different reason
