Cliffhanger ending to the greatest story ever told, thank you Miura

I'm definitely not the only one who thought that this was a very inconvenient place for the story to end thanks to a certain someone showing up at the very last panel but I was also really impressed at how satisfying this last chapter was. After so many years into the story, both Casca and Guts finally got to spend some quality time with their son before reuniting with Griffith.



Hell, getting to see Casca get her mind back a few years ago was already enough of a miracle to witness. I'm just thankful that we got this far.



Thank you, Miura... I'll never forget about you and your beautiful works.

The greatest manga of all time. We finally get confirmation that Griffith is the moonlight child but don't get to see the results. It's completely insane that the final chapter Miura got around to drawing was Griffith, casca and guts finally reuniting :'(

Rest in Peace Kentaro Miura you legendary man your story has managed to impact millions. The world is unfair cold and sad. That's the whole point of this manga. I hope we take to heart the message Miura was trying to share. The wrold is often unfair and cruel. It will traumatize you at best and leave you maimed at worst. Nothing will make it "just like it was before" you got hurt. Sure being angry at shit can be a great motivator but it only gets you so far. All you can do is keep moving forward scars and all work to be the best version of yourself and try to live a good life. Look after the people you have, even through you will lose most along the way. You can always make new connections if you're willing to let people in. Rest in peace Miura your struggle has come to an end. Everyone else who made it this far reading my post, I hope you take care of yourself.

Man,what a clifhanger.But honestly this was more than we could ever ask for.Caska got her mind back and we learn Moonlight Kid is indeed controlling Griffiths body. Now all 4 of them have reunited on the last chapter of Berserk.Its the best possible closure I could ever ask for considering the unfortunate events with Miura(RIP).Now fans can make up their own ending and discuss endlessly how everything would play out.



Imagine this happened in the middle of the boat saga.The horror.

@TBSM I didn't even make the connection that it was Griffith in 171!  I went back to chapter 1 and lo and behold, the child of moonlight is right there.  I'd totally forgotten.



I think we all know how the story truly ends.  Guts leaves Casca and crew to venture out and become a demon-hunting mercenary that eventually becomes
The Skull Knight.  Well, that's my take on it, anyways.
