Good chapter and hopefully the next chapter will focus on Guts or anything that's not Griffith.

I think this will all build up to a grand war between Griffith's Kingdom and a resistance force led by the Danann and Guts' crew. I also predict that there will be a great dilemma as to what Guts should do, if he would push through killing Griffith for the atrocious acts he did or let him and his kingdom prosper, as they are doing good acts and is literally what sustains humanity's survival and prosperity (also enforcing peace between Apostles and humans).

Is retribution for Griffith still necessary? He has built upon arguably the closest thing to a perfect kingdom for humanity and apostles, especially given the situation of the world. But it has been built upon thousands of corpses and that sacrifice of his comrades, just like that one sequence during the Eclipse.

From the looks of it, this seems like the second eclipse in the making. And Sonia will be the new Casca... especially that ending. Miura is so twisted lol.

Enough of Griffith and god damn Falconia. Just go back to Gatts and Casca already! Nahhh, Eclipse only happens every 200+ years. No way we're gonna see another one unless Griffith can make a pseudo eclipse or something like that.

@Draconix814 What you're talking about is nothing new. Griffith has been "happy" ever since he made Falconia and people have been shown to accept demons before. You're overreacting, again.

I guess I wasn't explicit enough (or at all really), I was more reffering to Griffith's smile being so innocent and luring me back to the old days before he was a rapist murderer falcon demon, that everything almost came as a shock despite having read and knowing about it all for the better part of 3 years now.

I don't really see his demonic companions throwing him under the bus though. They'd likely be stoked with him being femto. The others... Well, their city is full of nasty demons yet they don't seem to care. I'm not really sure whats going on to be honest.

So you think that he'll continue to be perfect until something happens and it'll get a terrible and climactic end to how he's being perceived?

I personally think he'll be like he is until he faces off with Guts and they both die in the fight. The end.

You heard it here first! :D

Oh, I didn't mean the Apostles will throw Griffith under the bus. I mean something will happen (something to do with Guts showing up, I'd wager) that will cause Griffith to throw his human followers under the bus. I'm pretty sure the Apostles already all know that Griffith is Femto and will stay loyal to him until the end.

The humans think that Griffith has tamed the Apostles and is keeping them (i.e. the people) safe, that's why they're okay with it. They simply don't realize that their safety is not real, since it is completely contingent on Griffith's whims. In their case, ignorance truly is bliss.

I have several theories on how Berserk will end, but my current pet theory is that Casca will be the one to kill Griffith.

Griffith <3. Absolute hero destroying those giants, protecting his kingdom! Who would have thought that he was actually quite humane

I've mentioned this before, but I still have my doubts that Griffith is "protecting" anything. From the translation I read, it sounds like this was more of an invasion and conquest on the Band's part (the bearded soldier says something about "expanding their territory," and while they're traveling the world tree someone says that they "subjugated the giants"). Griffith basically murdered an entire army in this chapter that we, the readers, know nothing about, except that they died defending their land. He didn't even give them a chance to surrender.

On a different subject, I wonder if only Griffith can lead armies through the world tree because he is a Godhand. It is somewhat worrisome to think that he can now sneak himself and Apostles around and be back before anyone realizes he was gone.
