I think Guts wants nobody to touch him because  of his past and the things Gambino said. Now he believes he's carrying a curse which brings bad luck so he wants nobody to be influenced by that.

I wonder how griffith became a demon. Guts acting as a mercenary. He doesn't want status but money only for his work.

Sweet action this chapter. Griffith looks like one elegant son of a bitch. I think I'll like him.

Considering how much ass kicking Guts has done that's pretty impressive. Though obviously he's a much more skilled swordsman when he's older.

Yeah, and I'm guessing Griffith is older than Guts, meaning he has a lot more experience than Guts, so that's a bit of an unfair advantage.

"dream of world domination".. was not mentioned in the anime, the anime maintained the mystery really well.. I can't believe I didn't see this in my first read.. poor Guts.. he thought he finally had found a friend with that "do i really need a reason to lay my life on the line for you"... and after the sloppy murder "for his sake", he hears he is no more than a tool to his dream..
