Berserk Chapter 201 Discussion

I love the depth given here to Farnese.

Im confused, do different people have chapters here about different parts.

Theres discussions about things which happened quite a few chapters ago.

Serpico and Farnese have such an interconnected backstory. Both sharing the cold and weight of high expectations, it's a wonder how they came out decent!

After seeing so much stake burnings, lil' Farnese pretty much turned out to be a pyromaniac problem child. Getting stepped on before getting cared for by a loli though.

Well this felt pretty, pretty long. And it's only the first half of the flashback I guess.

I really like Farnese's "madness", she can seem an inept, frivolous person with a huge personality disorder (well, she probably is like that) but I think she has lot of potential and just needs to discover the world without religious or aristocratic influences.

I'm not the biggest fan of overdone gore and stuff like that , but characterisation in Berserk is too damn good to just stop reading.

Farnese - Serpico back story revealed so much ...





- Serp is Farnese half-sister



- Farnese chose Serp to become her lover/successor (the only one she trust with her vulernability) but Serp turned her down for some reason



- Serp burned his own mother ... and yes Farnese influenced him too . But that explains his undyingloyalty to her , even while knowing she gets turned on from watching people get burned



- Farnese whipping and biting Serp was some kink ,, and an obvious sign she wanted Serp to blow her back out



- which explains why she's so drawn to Guts .. Guts didn't give a crap about getting beaten , he didn't push her off when she was grinding on his sword neither .. what was once Serp's girl is now Guts girl



- Farnese been crazy ,, but it doesn't clearly explain how she became a religious freak

That was good stuff, gave us a great insight into Serpico and Farnese. I wouldn't have thought they were half siblings, I wonder if Farnese even knows. I think she just looks at him as a servant, but who knows.
