Wow, he was pretty much totally right. Though I see what Guts means, his friends were slaughtered, as he said, like bugs and didn't know what was going on. But, he DID leave Casca behind, the only other one to live through that hell. I think that the old man was right, Guts was kind of running away and hiding in revenge. Then again, it would have been folly to take Casca in her present condition. And, it's just not like Guts to set down and relax.
This is interesting, I applaud the writing for giving me a different way to look at Guts' actions.
