I knew the Hawks being called out like that was a trap. Guts' departure literally killed the Band of the Hawks... This is crazy...

I don't remember the king doing this stuff in the TV series. Instead of it just being because Griffith "defiled" his daughter, it's because he "stole" his daughter from him in this version. Suffice to say that this is much deeper and darker than I originally thought. And, then you have Casca and the rest in mortal peril. I still can't get over how much Guts leaving the band ruined them. A sort of snowball effect.

So edgy . Maybe even edgier than Satoshi Kon's works.

Dude what the fuuuuuuck this story took a complete turn for the worst. That king is scum, the band of hawks are legit getting blitzed, and Griffith looks like he’s about to die. He even lost his egg necklace from Hunchback of Notre Dame! All because Guts left the group and Griffith went and got all bent out of shape. Crazy. What a fucked up turn of events lmfao

after all this I can't help but wonder if this was somehow orchestrated by griffith... I mean, no one except the king and 3 guards know what happened between him and charlotte. If the king were to die I could see griffith snuggling his way into the throne somehow
