Exactly. It's not so much a "sequel" as it's the final two volumes, just with a different name.

Gaaah. The hell mate. Urusawas works always leaves me brain fucked and bitter. The ending did feel a bit too rushed, like what happened to (fake) friend? Did he die, did I miss that happen,. Ugh hmm

I was sorta rooting for kanna and her mother's reunion too :<

But yeah... Despite alot of stuff being left unanswered it was quite a ride. I enjoyed the series throughoutly.

Now on to 21th century Boys.

That ending made no sense. Maybe I have to let it sit with me but I am so confused about a lot. Who was the successor of Friend truly? What did Kenji do? What happened to everyone?

Wow, this was definitely worth it. Finished it in 3 days and no regrets. Phenomenal writing with interesting characters and a compelling story and appealing themes. 8/10. Time to read the sequel~

Ends in the short epilogue sequel. Anyway, the first half was pretty entertaining and engaging, with quality mystery in it. The second half of 2014, especially the start of it, was good as well, though inferior to the first half it was consistent in entertaining. The post 2015 third half though... Very underwhelming and subpar, which is unfortunate because it could have been solid.



I agree with the user that said that the manga was interesting until the death of Fukube (or "his first death") at the school, after that it went dowhill drastically so. A beloved manga for sure, but not for me. It simply stopped being enjoyable and just dragging, lost all the appeal it did buildup the more it progressed and wasnt satisfaying.



It is a very loved manga, i saw multiple posts on instagram reels considering it peak manga and a masterpiece, wish i could see that anywhere on it. It becomes such a mess that it gets hard to even recall.

that was a limp ending for an excellent manga, I guess everything will be cleared up in 21st century boys. My score is 9/10 It had its potholes here and there, but that's to be expected from a manga with over 200 chapters.....
