Konchi was mentioned in the period between 1999-2000, when the group was trying to remember who else was in the group in the 70's. He was also named and featured (as a child) in several of the character introduction pages they have in the beginning of the volumes. Not random at all lmfao. He hasn't had that big of an impact on the story and he's still not a major character now imo.

Ohhhhhhh so this was a friend of Kenji's from a long time ago. I believe I might've saw him once or a couple times, but its a bit blurry.
