Hajime no Ippo Chapter 1351 Discussion

I feel like the mangaka is just being mean to us.

This break has been going on for far too long. I get that the Mangaka wants to make this a super long series that he can continue until his retirement but it doesn't feel rewarding reading Ippo atm. We all know there will be a comeback, can we just get on with it?

                        So Mashiba has still to win a fight before he can challenge the champion. He considers it as good as done, probably to put Kumi at ease. Doesn't work well and Ippo is only making it worse, as always xD Tho, Mashiba is working hard, he should be fine.





I liked all that talk about the Makunouchi generation and their progress, in particular the what if scenario where Miyata could've beaten Date(who wasn't at his peak) He was truly unfortunate to run into Mashiba and Ippo... the latter is still holding him back and time is against him.

Everyone's moving forward while Ippo's watching them.. must be rough to be see something like that >_<

Ahh Ippo, you are the only one who stays behind and doesn't evolve anymore, it's sad...



At this point, I can't understand Miyata anymore. I think he's really going over the top and his evolution has been stagnating for 200 chapters, it's getting tiring. It's coherent with his original motivations and his stubborn personality but... all I can say is that fortunately the manga is not called "Hajime no Miyata"
