Hajime no Ippo Chapter 1320 Discussion

  • #2
At this point it's laughable that Ippo still hasn't announced his return to the ring. I hadn't been reading this manga for over a year, to find out he's still struggling with himself.

I'm getting tired of seeing the other characters fight.

He also seems concerned with time. Is he dying? Afraid he'll be too old to fight?

At this point, Takamura is nearing 30, considering he still has a few weightclasses to go, each of them having title defenses. I doubt he has much room for delays in his plan to conquer them all.

Probably that but I think he have mentioned this one several chapters ago that he wanted to achieve that feat before Coach Kamogawa is gone.

True enough. The coach isn't getting any younger, and I'd hate for Takamura to experience a Rocky III moment.

                        ----------------------------------------

Takamura won't fly overseas to debut in America or any other country, and Ricardo is staying in the Featherweight. This makes Ippo and the others ponder the questions.

I have to wonder. If Takamura afraid of flying? Is he superstitious that the plane will crash? He's brought up luck a number of times. Maybe he is.

He also seems concerned with time. Is he dying? Afraid he'll be too old to fight?

I hope Ippo asks point-blank next chapter.
