Naruto Chapter 681 Discussion

So... Black Zetsu is secretly Masashi Kishimoto?

Kaguya's tears do make her look beautiful though, and I wonder what Naruto and Sasuke are going to do because they've been overpowered by Kaguya more than once already.

It's interesting, ever since Kaguya appeared I couldn't help but notice that she didn't act much differently than the Juubi/Shinju - to the point where I thought she might be controlled by it but as it turns out, the Juubi Hagoromo and Homura sealed was Kaguya or a part of her.

Kishi pretty much rewrote the story in this one chapter!

Hey you never know. I doubt it, but maybe he had this planned since the beginning?

100% confirmed! Next chapter, Black zetsu absorbs Kaguya and said "everything was planned"

And reveals that was all part of the plan to make Ichiraku ramen guy (Teuchi) main villain.

As for today's chapter, I can confirm that Kishi fucked up big time. Why the hell did he need to bring out Kaguya, fuck up Madara, who was great villain, and to reexplain things which were already well explained. FUCK YOU KISHI

The scale has been blown so far out of proportion that I don't even care about any new enemies anymore. It's going to be hard for me to feel satisfied with a contrived ending like this.

Naruto will sacrifice himself to seal all the bad stuff and save the ninja world. Sasuke will live on to tell the tale so no one repeats the mistakes of the Uchiha. meh.

It's obvious that this wasn't planned, Madara became a puppet at the last minute when he was supposed to be the final boss, Kishimoto is just changing everything to fit his ending, the plot twist was badly executed.None of this final arc was planned. The series was originally meant to end a LONG time ago before the time skip even happened. And even then the reason this final arc didnt come sooner was kishimoto was saying in interviews he didnt know how to end it. The reason this final arc is such a trainwreck is lack of planning.

This series is a perfect example of why writers shouldnt wing their endings, they should make a few possibilties of how to end it so they have something to build up to, then modify them as the series going along based off what your writing to build up to it. When you dont you get this.

Kishi never said it with his own mouth that he didn't know how to end it. It was just a flimsy rumour...

Interviews are mistranslated/misinterpreted all the time. Unless I have read a certain interview wrong or the translation was done incorrectly, when asked about how Madara would be defeated Kishi stated something on the lines of "Every villain has a weakness. Madara however has none. So ask yourself, how he could possibly be defeated? Wait and see!"

Stupid Madara fanboys had interpreted this as Kishi not knowing how to end Madara so he asspulls Kaguya. This chapter combined with Black Zetsu's constant presence is enough for me to believe he had this planning for a while. If he actually planned it like we see, he really sucks at story telling and planning.

Ha! I don't really see what's complicated here.

Madara was manupulated to think that his will was his and his alone while it was kaguya's. After been betrayed/sealed(however u put it) she created black zetsu whose main purpose was to bring her back any means necessary.

Her being sealed by a powerful sealing technique made it hard for him to bring her back so what's the next best thing? 're-create war to awaken the rinnegan in some crazy way' which we saw! We never saw the full battle of hashirama vs madara so anyone who disputes the biting can't really justify it! It should be known by now that the ninja world thrived on manipulations and deceptions so this shouldn't actually be a surprise.

What we all thought we knew about the juubi was what madara thought he knew. So changing the words on that tablet really changed everything!I never said that it is complicated.I said it sucks. This isnt good strorytelling. There was nothing to foreshadow this, it doesnt make sense since it retcons pretty much everything after the timeskip and it doesnt even look cool.Changing the entire story a few(hopefully)chapters before the end is just what an amateur would do.

I personally think Kishimoto is a genius, and yes I believe he had a lot of this planned out from the start. Just god damn all these plot twists and deceptions, never really seen anything like it in any show, except maybe Lost. Naruto is the Lost of anime pretty much, probably why I love it so much. I still think we haven't heard the whole truth, since we know virtually nothing about Kaguya herself, so I'm looking forward to more mind bending twists. Props to Kishi having Black Zetsu be the true mastermind behind everything.

I've never watched Lost, but comparing Naruto's story-telling quality to such a popular show is probably a huge stretch.

OT: So it goes from Nagato controlling the Akatsuki to Obito controlling him, to Madara controlling HIM, and finally, Black Zetsu being the mastermind behind everything? Fuck it, I'm done >_>

So you haven't seen Lost but you're claiming I'm making a stretch? Sorry, but I'm a huge Lost fan, and I see a lot of parallels with it and Naruto.

Wow so we essentially got almost all the backstory we could ask for on some many things, how many plot holes or unanswered plots are there now? Fuck all.

Well done Kishi

Fucking Black Zetsu has just become way too important, waaaaay too quickly though

Zetsu was always the weirdest member of the Akatsuki, and we always knew nothing about him, it would have been lame for him to turn out to just be Madara's will and not his own character.
