Naruto Chapter 501 Discussion

My work is done for the week :3

Seeing Minato in action against Madara and Kyuubi should be well good though, though it's going to be sad when the parents go :/

At least Kishi uses creativity, Tite just sits the week before release thinking up ways he can remove plot holes by saying Aizen planned it, needless to say, it fails.

U know...after dunno how many chapters of "I'll use my own strength",Kishi decides to use the kyuubi since it was just staying in Naruto's body for the lulz

Sasuke's power-ups no longer make sense,it's Kishi trying too hard to make him seem stronger that Itachi

This chapter was ok,Madara fail attempt to look evil,a PnJ..awesome Minato, but nothing epic at all

Fai(L): Yeah, Aizen is justified because EVERYONE knows the best villain is one who NOBODY can even TOUCH despite previous statements that there are those equal to, or stronger than, him in terms of power, and he STILL somehow manages to beat. At least Sasuke doesn't have this cheap reality-warping trick, and clearly Kishimoto learned at least something from his making Sasuke able to beat Kages.

Yes, what Kubo SHOULD have done is to insert a mid-tier villain before e reveals Aizen. So the power differences would not be that big and by the time Aizen comes to scene, the power levels would be about equal.

But nevermind that Aizen fits as final villain. He is strongest, he has an endgame, he is manipulative, etc. However yes a lot of stuff from his believability has been taken away by not having a mid-boss. Oh and by pacing(had the whole of ss(minus yama) fight vs aizen happenedin two or three chapters, it would have been quite decent fight of Aizen mindfucking everyone and no one having a chance, without the terribly obvious cliffhangers of him getting "hurt").

And Madara? can anyone TOUCH him? XDDD Nope.

And everything that happens is obviously part of his plan too.

As for Sauce?

Yes Kishi learned a lot. He is already designing a new godmode eye for Sauce and obviously a new outfit with cloak, colors and impossibly high level of details.

Since then Sauce was invincible, owning one enemy after another and Madara was the ultimate chessmaster. As I said.

Part II started out OK. The Gaara arc was "decent", except for miracle revival of Gaara. Then it went shitty with Kakuzu(or whatever the zombie mask guy was called) stuff and crossing-bridges trolling. Then a huge mediocre arcs of Sauce followed.

Then Manga got back to decent with Pain arc, Jiraya's death Naruto finally using HIS OWN POWER,etc. HOwever Kishi, during the pain arc, obviously lost it. he ended Pain arc with hugely mediocre and facepalm-worthy trolling of Naruto's character(Kyuubi unleashing against pain? seriously?....Defeating Pain with a book? seriiously?)

After that pretty much every chapter has been bellow average. and with the end of kage arc it went from bellow average ot uwe boll.

Ara? Why would Zabuza be there to fend off the Kyuubi?

he would not, but who says that the whole past arc should focus only on Kyuubi attack? It could have covered various points of events that happened during that year/whatever, with everything culminating in Kyuubi disaster.

BakaKawaii said:

Why would a tailed beast's reason for wanting to attack something beyond the comprehension of mortals? Even if he did have a reason, it'd certainly be comprehensible, the kyuubi was a natural disaster, as you said before your nonsensical post of comprehension, he didn't need a reason to attack, unless it was being strung along by a certain Sharingan user that is, but seeing as the Kyuubi actually said that Sasuke's chakra was like Madara's, the guy who controlled him, that totally means it was someone else.

here you are reasoning it all through Kishi's Sharinhax fanboi mode.

Before the whole Sharinhax can control tailed beasts crap, Kyuubi and other tailed beasts were more akin to cthulhu or japanese mythical beasts. That is someone who has totally different thinking and totally different psychology from humans. Thus their reasoning should be beyond human logic and morals.

As for chakra/ duh, Uchiha. They all have similar"omg evil chakra".

But if we had the "20 chapters of double spreads" you'd still complain that it was a cheesy back story and lots of chapters of nothing, naruto has a decent pace, it doesn't need 20 chapters to show some plot.

Pulling on the straws are you? NO I would not.

I would have the opinion I had on Naruto when the whole Pain arc was happening(before Naruto got trolled).

He did introduce Mid Tier enemies, and Aizen killed them because they were useless : o but that was part of his plan.

You must've missed where Sasuke was beaten and had to eat his teammates to survive, then barely escape, using amaterasu to severely damage himself and still fail to capture 8 tails, sacrificing his whole team just to escape with madara, and on the verge of blindness take the opportunity to take Itachi's eyes.

Nagato wasn't evil, he was in the grey area, doing what was wrong because it was done to him, but still doing it for the memory of his friends, and Naruto saying he wanted to stop the cycle of war and hatred even after Nagato destroyed his village, killed his friends, wasn't beating with a book, a win with compassion, not illusion shiv of doom.

Naruto actually deals with morals and ethics, even Madara to some extent, not just super god mode characters who plan everything, and damsels in distress x9001

And as you said; I was reasoning, not blind admiration or tunnel vision.

I do realise that this post and every  other post will fall of deaf ears, because you'll pull out some more Tite logic, but mah well.

Yeah, the art has gotten worse, but he still tries with the backgrounds, at least. Hopefully he'll make it a bit better in upcoming chapters.

Yes. Let's just forget that by that point he should have already been dead from eye overuse and that pretty much every kage-level oponent should be able to oneshot him.

But yes, through PNJ he survived and got yet another free power up.

Nagato/Pain was an awesome character. Up until the point where he andNaruto got trolled hard.  In fact Nagato would have worked way better as final villain, because of how his worldview clashes with Naruto's.

And don't remind me whole cycle of hatred or whatever gundam-seed-level-bad worldview Kishi created with the whole book business.

Pain arc was awesome upuntil the point it all turned into black and white yet again, just worse.

I do not expect morals and ethics as main theme in bleach. Sure its all part of characters and their flashbacks, but Its not the point of bleach. Bleach is typical fight shounen.

Naruto on other hand? Yes It was about morals, gray view of the world,e tc.

That was till the whole kyuubi-fiasco at the end of pain arc. Since then, the "moral compass" of Naruto world has been at the level of Digimon series.

Why are guys even arguing with FaiL?, He's a typical Kishi basher while he sprays his semen all over Kubo for fun, he's saying Naruto is trying be DBZ when its actually inspired by DBZ and saying it copies too much out of it when Ichigo doing a fusion out of his training is too ironic. Hey FaiL at Kishi explains his story while excluding the pendulum arc Kubo has ZERO background to his characters.

What makes me even more sick is when I see people agree with him, I dont care if you agree with him in the Bleach section since he loves that Kubo juice but agreeing with him in the Naruto forum just makes you as much of troll as FaiL is.

It was actually good, I quite enjoyed it. I'd love to see Minato vs Kyuubi in the next chapter. Looking forward to it~

Let's face it, Naruto is never going to be as cool as his dad. That would make too good of a manga.

Yea, because Aizen is a God-Mode Sue everything that he does is justifiable. One of Madara's goals is Destroy Konoha and Konoha is stil standing sort ofl despite the fact that he wanted it gone for maybe 40+ years.

Madara's yeah. But Masked guy is not madara. He is someone who poses as Madara thus he did not want to destroy Konoha obviously. It has been obvious as day, since the moment where he announced his whole sharingan on the moon bs.

Besides the cover where the whole Sasuke/Naruto fate thing comes again to annoy, I liked this chapter. I wanted to know what happened the night the kyuubi attacked Konoha, and that's what I'm getting. This chapter has been much better than the recent weeks... I hope Kishi keeps this up!

but IT COULD have been so much more better.

Imagine if it was done to flash out the characters we already knew(Sarutobi, Minato, Asuma, Kakashi, Zabuza, etc), with epic double spreads of many ninja trying to withold Kyuubi away from the town itself.

Characters using actual battle tactics, fighting with their smarts against this uber powerful and horrible thing beyond their imagination. A force of nature, a deity who did not need a reason to attack something and even if it had a reason, its beyond the comprehension of mortals. No Madara, no Kushina-tailed-host stuff.  Just ~20 chapters or so of epic flashback, giving character development to characters both dead and alive, showing off Minato's awesomeness(hinting at what Naruto could achieve on his own). 20 chapters full of double spreads, epic scenes and actually well drawn kyuubi.

I can forgive fox's bad drawing, but I will never stand for doodles-rasengan. "Come on, let's draw a giant circle and fill it with random swirly lines!" - That's what it looked like...
