What was the central theme of Bleach again?

Loneliness, Death, Being haunted by the past and loss, overcoming that and finding a family and bonds you belong in. Its not that hard to notice. Its pretty much the most consistent aspect of the whole manga that continued developing from the first chapter till last.

You have a dense protagonist

Not dense. If anything Ichigo is one of smarter shonen protags. He is also extremely introverted for a shonen protag hiding his emotions, the guilt he felt for his mother's end and various other turmoil behind a punk facade.

Introverted? In what way? He's a punk but introverted? That strongly contradicts.

who got together with a female side character with unrequited love throughout the whole series.

Except that it was not unrequited. It just did not really progress due to Ichigo's own issues. The moment Ichigo overcame his own despair and stopped lingering in the past, the relationship progressed

It is only not unrequited now because of this random chapter. What issues? They had tons of time to develop, Ichigo never reciprocate those feelings, nor did he show a slightest hint of knowing. If so, I would like some chapters.

And unlike with Naruto both characters progressed and changed through the story, as did their relationship.

What do you mean? Naruto progressed just as much as Ichigo did. An amount of zero progress in relationships between potential love interest throughout the series.

Then you have the side characters magically get together with no precedent of such development that is no more than fanservice.

You mean if you ignore all the obvious hints that Renji is interested in Rukia, sure. I mean its classic "a slum underdog falls for a princess" kind of story too.

Ignore what obvious hints? The single only one in the last or so chapter?

I mean who even cares for Urahara, Yoruichi, Nel, Grimmjow, Harribel and the list can just go on......

What baffles me the most is that this "conclusion" didn't address any of the plot points that are still left and even raises up more questions rather than answering anything, LOL.

lol ye but im sure Urahara, Yoruichi, and Grimmjow are rescued by Nel since that is the last implying dialogue of Nel on the manga

and ye too many unresolved plots but im just gonna treat it as an open ending

cannot help it since Shounen Jump maybe the reason why Bleach has a rush ending like this if this joke of Kubo really has a double meaning behind it lol http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1540493

I can't tell if you're defending this shit storm or not Fai? Bleach has been a slow train to hell since after Ichigo saved Rukia. It probably should have ended after Aizen and instead it just lingered on and on and on.

I am 100% happy that I can finally put this on completed.
