It's almost a talent in itself that Kubo has finally gotten to the (supposed) final showdown with the final boss, the cause of so much tragedy and even the reason for the death of the protagonist's mother and I can feel nothing but apathy in how it's presented.
Well honestly that´s just your opinion although I do agree with you on that matter.
It´s because Kubo´s way of storytelling is too scattered poorly paced and convoluted. The sole attraction for this series to me always were it´s mysteries, which are impossible to predict. The second motivation is the action. His cast of characters is too vast and their screentime too limited to merit any attachement, in the long run. Which is why simplistic characters like Toshiro or Kenpachi become fanfavorites.
