Ukitake still the only fatal(? it was so lame, I'm not sure) victim of this current "war".
I think he's still alive or if he's dead he'll be revived, I mean he still hasn't shown his bankai.
Man...
Maybe Kubo HAD an idea to kill off more and moe SS characters but after Byakuya fiasco he let the audience reaction to influence his writing. But the problem is that Bleach isn't that popular anymore so why would he care now.
PS. Yes, I thought that too, and I;m always bringing this up: when Wonderweiss knocked out Ukitake I(and I think many other readers too) thought: Ok, it is obvious that Bleach isn't over after Aizen.Kubo is trying to save his bankai for later
(though:
- execution was awful when later Yama destroyed that arrancar bare-handed, it rendered Ukitake extreamly weak
- subsequent bankais are more and more dissapointing)
because these reveals were what kept readers interested in the series. And now(In Ukitake's case) I think that maybe he just didn;t come up with anything creative, so he wrote him off the story in a differnet(and ultimately lame/dissatisfying) way. Like... I still don't know how exactly Kyouraku bankai works and the powers in this series become more and more absurd, like "imagination" and now "miracles" to name a few.
